Menopause Retreat

A Timeless setting that inspires inner peace, mental clarity and emotional wellbeing for Women in transition

Intro

Menopause retreats for women going through peri-menopause, menopause and beyond, guided by women who are looking for positive ways to walk this time together encouraging sustainable changes in your life. Antoinette and her specialist team run small personal group retreats that offer a calming, tender, collaborative space to grow, self-reflect and move forward with the development of practical skills for your present and future holistic wellbeing.

We offer an opportunity to explore these personal shifts in a peaceful and beautiful setting, in a magical region of France. Here you will be nurtured with gentle guidance, self-reflection & conversation as well as being served nutritional meals that reflect the growing awareness around food that supports our menopausal symptoms.

All our retreats are for four nights fully inclusive of all meals, drinks and arranged activities. Numbers are limited from six to eight people to ensure everyone receives our closest attention.

Facilitators

Facilitators

Antoinette Fairhurst

Antoinette your host and the creator of Les Marguerites, with her husband Keith and their family have worked over the last 13 years to create a space for your pleasure. Antoinette originally trained as an NNEB (nursery nurse), she has had many careers over the years, from being a trained Doula and owning her own nursery school, to being head of HR for a small IT company.

Since moving to France in 2008 Antoinette has been on a spiritual journey of her very own, starting a business in the middle of a recession, in another country, with no command of the language was a huge challenge and certainly pushed her out of her comfort zone. The first glimpse of this new adventure called her to break away from everyday life, and that was the trigger of her spiritual awakening. She believes that being here, at this time and in this space is her calling, she is here is to serve you and to help you to step into your own power.

Hazel Ratcliffe

Hazel who has been working in Women’s Health and Wellbeing for most of her career, has a background in nursing and psychotherapy. She works with women across the UK developing and supporting them to connect with their ability to lead and influence.

She is committed to supporting women to share and support each other in a flexible, open and accessible way. Her motto which she endeavours to live by is “Nothing about Us without Us”. Hazel's facilitation style is encouraging, perceptive with a good blend of joy and humour.

Laurie

Laurie Beaufils

Laurie is passionate about nature, a botanist with a strong belief in the power of nature and plants to provide natural nutrients for our diet and to aid the prevention and treatment of ailments.  Nature can touch our souls and it creates environments of beauty and peace where we can connect with our deepest selves.

As Laurie says “She is very fortunate to live in one of Europe’s most bio-diverse regions.  In the Aude there are over half of the French flora to be found – 3000 species in all”. Laurie has guided many people to share in the magic of this region from foraging to cooking edible wild plants to embracing the serenity and peace that can be found in so many places. Laurie has created an association “Herba venti” to share this knowledge and she enjoys delivering workshops that help people to recognize plants for cooking or to create balms for healing.

Morell-Andrews

Pedro Morrell & Sophie Andrews

Pedro and Sophie bring a wealth of shared experience to their clients.

Working with sensitivity, mind body integration and nurturing touch, the treatment intention is above all else, to assist in a rediscovery of how health feels, with the supportive belief that we all have the power to heal ourselves.

The combination of massage therapy and Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy is a powerful partnering - giving the opportunity to understand both the root causes of trauma and pain in relationship to symptoms - which are often the reason clients feel it is time to see a therapist.

In their work, Pedro and Sophie combine their passion for natural health and the powerful benefits of complementary therapies with their practised knowledge of various advanced techniques. With experience and training in many different methods of massage, energy and body work - ranging from sports and remedial work to transformative Craniosacral therapy - their aim is to provide clients with effective, unique treatments, long-lasting results and supportive advice.

Specialising in stress and trauma resolution and relieving chronic or longstanding pain, Pedro and Sophie's desire is to support you to feel empowered about your healing journey. Their unique treatment technique helps the mind and body to work harmoniously, leading to an increase in vitality and the ability to self-heal.
